There’s only one question worth asking on New Year’s Eve where do you want to be when the clock strikes midnight?

This year, we’re bringing the bright lights to the edge of Cornwall. Think Vegas baby glittering disco balls, casino tables, an Elvis who absolutely has entered the building, and a dancefloor that won’t quit until the early hours. If you’ve been saving a showstopping outfit for exactly the right occasion, this is it. Sequins, feathers, tailored suits, statement everything the more dazzling, the better.

Sunday 7th June | 11.30am – 1.30pm

Begin on the beach. Before the making, there’s the gathering — a short walk down to the shore to collect natural materials: shells, stones, seaweed, seed heads, whatever the tide and the clifftop have left behind. If you’d rather go straight to the creating, that’s absolutely fine — Hayley will have everything you need waiting at the hotel.

Back in the warmth, you’ll work with those collected pieces alongside natural and organic materials to build your own mandala. Rooted in ancient traditions of pattern and symmetry, mandala-making is as meditative as it is creative — a way of slowing down, noticing, and letting something beautiful take shape in front of you.

Hayley White brings a gentle, encouraging approach that makes the process accessible to everyone, whether you’ve never made art before or simply haven’t made time for it recently.

Autumn at its most hands-on. Join Hayley White for a couple of hours of painting, glazing and decorating your own ceramic pumpkin — no experience needed, just a willingness to make something a little bit wonderful before Halloween.
Whether you go for something spooky, something folkloric, or something entirely your own, the afternoon is yours to take in whatever direction you fancy. A hot drink is included to keep you company while you work.
